Roma Boots is a world leading brand of socially conscious footwear. It is known for donating a pair of rain boots to a child in need for every pair sold. Roma’s ‘Give Poverty the Boot’ international campaign has donated tens of thousands of boots in 25 countries across 5 continents since 2010.
In May 2018, Roma’s founder Samuel Bistrian decided to bring the brand to Australia in 2018 via a distribution partnership with Geelong business owner, Charlene Lancaster.
Charlene is passionate about making a difference to the lives of Australians across the country, starting in Geelong.
Roma Boots Australia partnered with Geelong Mums in May 2018 to kick off the campaign in Australia with Samuel doing his first Australian boot drop - a donation of 100 pairs of rain boots to to to local families in need.
Passionfolk worked with Charlene to devise a social media strategy based on the brand identity of Roma Boots to suit the Australian market. We generated media publicity for Roma Boots through public relations activity and helped facilitate Roma's first partner event, the Geelong Mums Luncheon 2018.
We created advertisements as well as banners, flyers, social media tiles and an animated promotional video.
Passionfolk also directed a video of the Geelong Mums Boot Drop to showcase Roma’s brand identity, which will be used to establish beneficiaries for Roma Boots in future.
