Idyll Wine Co.

Client Profile

The original Idyll Vineyard was planted in the late 1960’s by Darryl and Nini Sefton.  It was part of the Moorabool Valley’s renaissance, being among the first vineyards to be planted after the region had been decimated by the phylloxera virus in the 1800’s.

The winery has been developed over the years into the global wine production and packaging operation it is today.

As well as growing grapes, Idyll Wine Co sources fruit from many regions throughout Australia – from Swan Hill to McLaren Vale to the Barossa Valley and Coonawarra.  They then produce wines under an array of different brands that are distributed throughout Australia and across the world.

In 2017, Idyll Wine Co. produced around 18 million bottles of wine.

The Task

Idyll Wine Co's Arcadian Shiraz beat hundreds of others to win Wine Of The Year at the 2018 London Wine Competition. Priced at just $10, the wine was lauded for its quality, design and consumer appeal. It also won 3 other medals, including Best In Show by Region.

Idyll Wine Co. asked Passionfolk to help them announce the win and introduce themselves to the community.
